This home is a hygge getaway. Hygge is a Danish word: to create a warm atmosphere and enjoy the good things in life with good people. This is exactly what we hope our guests experience while staying at our hygge home! Whether cozying up at the end of a chilly day on the slopes, or after hiking and exploring state parks, this hygge home is what you need to warm up, refresh and relax. The backyard is fenced for your furry friends. The fence is 4' high.

Other Details to Note

We have toys and games for kids, plus a niche for kids to sit and read, build lego, or play board games. The main floor has a 70" TV with sound bar and subwoofer to make the most of movie night! This is a smart TV with Netflix and basic cable. The master bedroom also has a tv and couch - it's an additional place to relax for a couple people. Laundry is on the main floor off the master bedroom. Little Valley is a small town, but there is a Dollar General down the road if you find you need supplies. Crosby's gas/convenience store sells firewood, and makes some decent pizza too! If you're looking for dinner options, we recommend the Ellicottville Brewing Company in town. The Bear Brick bar/restaurant is close by as well.

Little Valley is a quiet little village and our home is on a sleepy street. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle! There is a playground and field on the street next to us (Winship Ave). Down the road is a convenience store called Crosbys. (Great pizza). A little further down the road is the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds. Across the main street is Ellicottville Brewing Company which also is home to a fantastic pizzeria and pub. Pizza and beer, anyone?

This is a very spacious house which would be great for a large family. Nice linens and towels.. big yard for our pups to play in. This house is close to Ellicotville not much to do in Little Valley, but a quiet peaceful place. I would come back here and stay again.

One of our favorite stays to date! Everything is well thought out and the whole house is beautiful. Great location with a beautiful yard! The hosts were wonderful with their communication through out our entire stay!

We had a great stay in this home! There was plenty of space for 8 of us on a family trip and everything was so clean and homey. I appreciated recommendations that Mark and Kristy provided to the brewery nearby! Most importantly, they were extremely gracious and we were able to make day-of last minute booking of this place due to another place canceling on us. Very grateful we found this spot.

We were super happy with our stay here! Our family fit right into this house and we loved it. It was about 15 minutes from Holiday Valley so a very easy ski commute. The house is well cared for and very comfy.

I will say it’s an amazing place to be at and it’s close to holiday valley both host were very nice and responsive and also let us extend our trip for a extra night I would recommend anyone to let them host you everything was amazing !!

The Hygge Home was GREAT! It was only my husband, me, and our 3 dogs, but there was plenty of space for more people. I loved the layout and decor. It was perfect for a ski-cation—there were lots of hooks, benches, and mats when you walked in. We stayed in the bedroom on the main floor, and I used that bathroom/shower. My husband noted the upstairs shower water did not get hot, but mine was perfect. The hair dryer was missing, and it was such an unexpected surprise to find a brand new one waiting for me after day 2 of skiing! The fenced backyard was perfect for our dogs! I always bring Tide pods to wash my clothes before returning home; the washer & dryer were perfect. Lots of fun games; we enjoyed reading the cards from the Hygfge game and playing Candyland, lol! My husband was able to cook pasta for dinner with no problem. Lots of Keurig pods for coffee. We watched movies on Netflix in the living room- LOVED the mural/picture on the wall. More like 15-20 min to Holiday Valley.

We loved staying here for our ski trip! The fenced in yard was perfect for my dog and we found it easy to travel back and forth from the ski resort to our house.

This place worked perfectly for a ski weekend at holiday valley, very quick drive to the ski hill. Mark was responsive and flexible when we had a last minute change to our booking. Only suggestions would be to have some extra blankets as the main floor bedroom can be a little chilly and a few bigger pots and baking dishes for the kitchen. Very clean and lots of board games to choose from!
